It’s bagless vacuum. I’ve emptied it, checked both the filters, and cleaned everything I can get to. I think there might be some compartment I don’t know about, but I can’t find anything online. There are literally CLOUDS of dust everywhere – it’s disgusting! Is there something I’m missing?

I paid around $450 for the Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner and it has been a huge disappointment. It works ok on carpets, but will not pick up a speck of dirt or dust on tile or wood floors. I have called the customer support line at least 10 times and each time they [...]

I was cat-sitting and after the cat left, used a new vacuum to tidy the apartment. The vacuum must’ve sucked up and heated up some cat litter because now the apartment and the vacuum specifically stink. I sprayed the filter with febreeze and cleaned out the dirt container (no bag in this vacuum), but the [...]

Could anyone please advise on which model I should buy (ranging from $500-$800), as there are quite a few to choose from and am not sure which one would be the best.
Thank you

You probably need a new belt. It would also do some good to clean the brushes on the bottom of it too. If after this you still smell the burning, it is probably the motor, you could take it in to an appliance repair, or buy a new one.

Over the years I have had many different vaccum cleaners. Like dirt devil, hoover, rainbow and filter queen to name a few. They all seemed to work OK when they were new, but they all would end up in the same place. The garbage. Rainbow and filter queen seemed to have pretty good longevity though. [...]

Your best bet is to buy in bulk, online.
I buy the vac bags for my Eureka on eBay.
You can also buy accessories, bags and parts for vacuums from this website:http://www.govacuum.com/reppapbag.html
